Halbert Walston
Bio:
A Navy brat from birth, followed by four years in the U.S. Army, Halbert Walston (aka LogicGeek) has traveled the United States literally from coast to coast (he stopped counting the number of moves after reaching 19 of them while still in high school). Factoring in that travel, and a smattering of overseas travel for both military service and leisure, he never quite expected to find himself in Kentucky.
Serving in the U.S. Army after completing his basic education, Halbert received electronics and communications training for his MOS as a Radio Systems Repair Technician. During his time of service, he also, through trial and error, entered the realm of computers on a lowly 486SX monstrosity he had purchased solely to play games and to check out the "new" novelty of VideoCDs. This sad little machine led to learning more than he had anticipated in attempting to make "the little machine that couldn't quite " into "the little machine that barely could. " This knowledge, and an almost inappropriate love affair with the Command Prompt, led him to a fledgling career as a consultant for several years in computer-related support roles (back in the era when any knowledge was a great deal of knowledge).
His days of basic computer-related support have evolved into roles based upon client-system architecture and programming. In his current position, he met the rest of the cadre of The Danger Geeks and magic was born. Magic, or some new energy drink made of guarana and bats' tears, I forget...
Halbert's hobbies and general interests include Graphics Design, programming, computer gaming (still), referencing "When I was stationed in Korea,..." stories and foreign language studies - and Family Guy quotes... lots and lots of Family Guy quotes (though often misquoted by a word or two).
Regarding The Danger Geeks, beyond the standard project-related duties, Halbert is typically processing photos, writing supplemental materials, and occasionally whipping up team staff badges for a fledgling media team in the back seat of a Subaru on the way to Metropolis.
RTFM, be safe, and leave the rest to us!
