Here is a brief clip from our interview with Michael Papajohn at the 2009 Wizard World Chicago Comic Con. In an exclusive with The Danger Geeks, Michael provides clarification behind the rumors that surround Spiderman 4 and the possibility of a return of “Uncle Ben’s killer.”

For more info about Michael Papajohn, follow him on Twitter, check out his main site, or his Facebook fan site.

[Note: Sorry about the late post. Having a few issues with YouTube and Wordpress. Stay tuned for the full interview coming on August 12, 2009!]

Hello Danger Geek fans. Welcome to  day two coverage of the Wizard World Chicago Con.

This was the day we were to enter the “Great Hall”.I must admit, entering the main exhibit hall was a bit overwhelming. There were movie stars, artists, writers, professional wrestlers, American Gladiators, vendors and more. There were some incredible costumes (and not so great) and the entire exhibit hall floor was bustling with activity.

After walking around for a bit, the majority of the Danger Geeks crew attended the Cabonaughts panel hosted by Nichelle Nichols and Hayden Black. We got an exclusive look at the rough cut of the pilot episode for a web series named “The Cabonauts”. According to the website:

It’s the single-most most unique web series ever produced; a sci-fi musical comedy starring all your sci-fi favorites in brand new roles – and singing and dancing as well. Think Hitchhikers Guide meets Flight of the Conchords, and you’re halfway there.

Nichelle stars in “The Cabonauts” and it was great to see Nichelle get into character during the Q & A with the audience. As one audience member pointed out, she seemed to really enjoy herself. The video from the panel will be posted in the next couple of days.

After the panel, we went our separate ways for a bit, with Matt and Hillary going to meet Nichelle Nichols, Ryan attending the Marvel panel and Halbert working the exhibit hall floor. He gave out so many cards and was successful in arranging the interview with Michael Papajohn. Full interview will be posted in a day or two.

I am a personal fan of Michelle Rodriguez, and happy to say I got to meet her.

She was incredible and I’m sure other attendees would agree because the line to get an autograph or photograph with Michelle stretched along the far aisle of the main exhibit hall.

Later, we met back up and attended the costume contest in the main lobby. Standouts included “Rocksteady” and “Bebop”, “The Sentinel” and “Optimus Prime“. We took an incredible amount of photos and while I have uploaded some to my online album here, check back on the main Danger Geeks website for even more photos.

We spent some time working through the vendors and picking up random objects of interest. Afterwards, we walked back to the hotel, grabbed some pizza from a local eatery then headed out for “Danger Geeks After Dark”. Matt performed some magic for bar patrons, Halbert received a text from Michael Papajohn about the Sunday morning interview, and Ryan provided drunken entertainment on the shuttle ride back to our hotel. All in all, it was a great experience!

[We have an incredible amount of pictures and videos to sort and edit. We promise we will update the site galleries with all the media that makes the cut!]

Hello Danger Geek fans! Here we are at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con.

After a long trip, we all made it safely, minus a small complication with a parking break at a gas station. The traffic on I-90 was horrible but we kept ourselves entertained through delirium-induced dialog and conversations with vehicle drivers that would never be heard. I even learned a bit of Chinese along the way (Ni Hao).

Once we arrived, we picked up our press passes at the convention center. Here’s a view of the activity outside the exhibit hall as we were waiting for our passes.

Halbert and Ryan opted to walk throughout the exhibit hall while the rest of the crew headed back to the hotel to get settled in. Highlights from their exhibit hall excursion include speaking with Kynt and Vyxsin from the “Amazing Race”, Jamie Kovac of the “American Gladiators” and Martin Klebba of the “Pirates of the Caribbean”. Fast forward a few hours later and we all got back together to get something to eat.

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel, grabbed a drink from the bar (image below) and started filming the first episode of “The Danger Room”

We streamed the filming of the show live from our website. We had some great outtakes and finally got the primary footage completed for the show. We have a fair amount of editing ahead of us but look for the first episode of “The Danger Room” to be released this Thursday.

Going into day #2, we are looking forward to various panels, such as the “Cabonauts” panel with Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), the Q & A with Michelle Rodriquez (“Avatar”, “Fast and Furious”) and meeting Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters). And of course, the after hours festivities are going to be fun.

Day 2 here we come!

After a lot of thinking and reading I think I have come up with a way for God, physics, and the universe to exist together. I call this theory the Quantum Router. I know this may seem like a search for God, but there are scientific ideas and multiple theories taken into account. So please, if you think this is going to be another science is wrong write up, please read on.

It all started when I was reading about string theory, M-theory, multiverse, and the theory of everything, of course when you start reading and thinking about the mentioned theories you have to start thinking about parallel universes, be it 11 or an infinite amount of them. Now, I know, for some of you, you are probably thinking what do these theories have to do with parallel universes?

Well the M in M-theory, according to Edward Witten (the theorist behind M-theory), stands for “magick,” “mystery” , or “matrix”, according to taste. Other theoretical physicists thinks the M stands for “membrane”. Other suggestions by people such as Michio Kaku, Michael Duff and Neil Turok think that it means “mother” (as in “mother of all theories”), and “master” theory. The name M-theory is a bit cryptic. It can be used to refer to both the eleven-dimensional theory that Witten first proposed, or it can be used to refer to a type of theory which looks in various limits like the various string theories, but no matter which theorist you talk to, M-theory is a gateway theory to parallel universes.

As for string theory, we all know it has lead to all the aforementioned theories, and it is the theory that introduced branes. We all loved it when string theory became popular because it let all of use nerds use the phrase P-brane in a serious context. For those of you who did not know p is actually a variable in string theory which refers to the number of spatial dimensions of the specified brane. A 0-brane is a zero-dimensional pointlike particle, a 1-brane is a string, a 2-brane is a “membrane”, so on and so forth. I highly recommend to anyone that has an interest in quantum theory to read up on string theory. It is a very exciting developing branch of theoretical physics.

The multiverse theory is as the name states. A hypothetical set of multiple possible universes (including our universe) that together comprise all of reality. I would not say that the multiverse theory is the theory that coined the use of parallel universes, but it is the basis for the entire theory of parallel universes. Multiverses have been hypothesized in physics for a very long time, but the specific term “multiverse” was coined in 1895 by psychologist William James. In the multiverse theory, or any other theory for that matter, you might have heard parallel universes referred to as alternative universes, quantum universes, interpenetrating dimensions, parallel worlds, alternative realities, alternative timelines, etc.

The theory of everything or TOE as it has been called, is a theory that fully explains and links together all known physical phenomena. You could also look at my below insight as a branch or addition to the TOE.

While I was reading about the above-mentioned theories I started to think about the Heisenberg uncertainty principle as well. According to Heisenberg everything is in a state of quantum flux, more-or-less existing at two or more places at once. If this is true, theoretically, a single thought can change what quantum plane you exist on. Being that thought is nothing more then electrons moving around in the brain and because of the nature of the very small that electron is existing in more than one place, then, it hit me.

Maybe God is nothing more then a “quantum router” routing what plane (parallel universe) matter should exist on and when. If that is true, then by Him simply shifting single electrons through different planes and making them appear in different universes. He could do anything, and exist everywhere, thereby making our soul, or our quantum footprint (relatively speaking), exist on different timelines and/or spacial realities.

Look at it this way: Have you ever thought “what if”? For example, have you ever been driving and almost been involved in a fatal car accident? If the above theories are correct, in one reality you were involved in that accident and you did die, but the quantum router (a.k.a God) did not want you to exist in that reality so he shifted your quantum footprint to the reality you are aware of now. So there are now two realities diverging from that single moment. One reality you are aware of, in which your quantum footprint exists. In the other reality you are not aware of, you are dead.

The quantum router theory can also explain the concept of heaven and hell. If all parallel universes exist in hyperspace, then heaven and hell could merely be another instance of a parallel universe. Once your quantum footprint is ready, or in other words you die, then your quantum footprint is merely shifted to the corresponding universe (heaven or hell).

The above ideas are just my thoughts on how to make science and religion finally exist together. Please remember this is a personal view and I do not have corresponding mathematical or scientific proof for this theory.
